Terry Bailey's paintings of yachts competing on the coastal waters of North America and of the British Isles assure him of a place alongside such great Artists of this genre as James E. Buttersworth and Montague Dawson. His intimate knowledge of the yachts and of their handling in all manner of seas has become inherent through his experiences over the years as the owner of a classic yacht. Terry describes his understanding and love of yachts as being similar to that of the trainer of thoroughbreds for his horses. “No two yachts are the same however much they look alike. Each has its own character. Each performs in its own way. |
